Ling Ling Huang
Ling Ling Huang is a violinist and writer committed to expanding the concepts of tradition.
She is an active presence in the New York musical scene, appearing on stages from Carnegie Hall to National Sawdust. Ms. Huang is a current substitute violinist in the New York Philharmonic, the Baltimore Symphony, Opera Columbus, ProMusica Columbus, and the Oregon Symphony. In New York, she plays with the Experiential Orchestra, with whom she won a Grammy award in 2021 and Music Kitchen, an organization that has partnered with Carnegie Hall to bring commissioned concerts to shelters.
Her debut novel, Natural Beauty follows a young musician into an elite, beauty-obsessed world where perfection comes at a staggering cost. Natural Beauty released in April 2023, and has received glowing critical reception including selection as a New York Times Editors’ Choice. Constance Wu and Drew Comins are producing a series adaptation.
