New Ideas in Music

From 2011 to 2014, Third Angle presented our New Ideas in Music Competition, which sought original pieces bringing new ideas and approaches to the challenge of writing for a traditional string quartet. NIIM introduced our audiences to 16 new composers and resulted in 17 new compositions being birthed into this world from composers including Adam Borecki, Wang A-Mao, Brendan Faegre, Nicholas S. Omiccioli, Steven Snethkamp, and Justin Ralls. For more info, check out the video below.
