Phenomenon grew on me rather like the fireballs...definitely a piece to pass through the body playing it. The preternatural energy missing from the Prokofiev, although it remains one of my favorite symphonic works to play. Wonder what Alex ("Alexigente") Ross would make of it....you'll have to ask him!
