Violinist Ron Blessinger is an Oregon native, a proud graduate in 1983 of Hermiston High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the Oberlin Conservatory and a master’s degree with distinction in performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, after which he joined the Oregon Symphony in 1990. As a member of the orchestra, Ron has been a frequent soloist and chamber music performer, and in 2014 was elected as a player representative to the Oregon Symphony board of directors.

Ron has been a passionate advocate for the work of living composers, both as a performer and artistic director for Third Angle New Music. Ron has performed on and been executive producer of twelve recordings of contemporary classical music to critical acclaim, recorded a film score for Turner Classic Movies, supported the work of regional composers via a commissioning program that has produced over sixty new musical works, and collaborated with every major arts institution in Portland, including the Portland Art Museum, Portland Center Stage, Artist Repertory Theater, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Oregon Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theater, Whitebird Dance Company, Jefferson Dancers, Architecture Foundation of Oregon, and Second Story Interactive, among many others. 

Mr. Blessinger is responsible for programming, directing rehearsals, fielding inquiries from artists and arts groups, researching works, composers and artists for performance, writing grants, planning and organizing the season, pursuing recording and broadcast opportunities.


Lisa Volle

Ms. Volle, Executive Director, is a former musician turned arts administrator. Lisa graduated from Skidmore College with a BS in Social Work and a minor in Music. She previously worked for Friends of Chamber Music and Portland Piano International, as well as at summer music festivals around the U.S. Lisa also served as the 2014-15 Ambassador for Artslandia Magazine. The Executive Director is responsible for managing the office and concert production. Some of Ms. Volle’s key responsibilities include all the logistics associated with concerts, ticketing, contracting, maintaining financial records, accounts receivable/accounts payable, marketing and fundraising.


Evan Lewis

Mr. Lewis, born and raised in Portland, received his Masters of Music in composition from Mannes College, and his BA from Whitman College, in Walla Walla, WA.  His opera “The Witch of the Iron Wood” received an in-progress staged reading in 2013 as part of the Fertile Ground New Works Festival in Portland, Oregon, where it was a Portland Monthly Editor’s Pick.  He plays piano and euphonium, and is excited to rejoin the workforce after a few years off being a full time stay-at-home dad to his energetic son.  Evan’s responsibilities include donor and ticketholder communications, assisting with marketing and social media, writing grants, and coordinating volunteers.
