Brahms first combined horn, violin and piano in an emotional homage to his mother.Third Angle New Music offers that seminal work alongside the avant-garde horn trio of György Ligeti and a new horn trio commissioned by Third Angle New Music from Thai composer Narong Prangcharoen.

Mozart, Revisited

We hearken back to the Classical era with music for flute quartet by Mozart and contemporary American composer Steve Mackey. The fluid program alternates between Mackey’s Humble River and movements from Mozart, in an approach that generates what Mackey calls “a river with Mozart islands”.
