It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that our concert this Friday, April 8, (One Mississippi with Eve Beglarian) has been postponed due to a family emergency. The program with Eve will be rescheduled for next fall.
In place of this concert, Third Angle will perform Asian Music Now on May 26th, 7:30 at the Old Church, a program of fascinating works from the new generation of Asian artists. This performance will be a proper send off for Third Angle’s forthcoming trip to Thailand, where the ensemble will be in residence at the 2011 Thailand International Composition Festival.
All ticket holders can either apply their purchase toward the May performance or receive a refund by e-mailing Lisa at lisa@thirdangle.org or calling our office at 503-331-0301. More information about the upcoming concert and next season will be available shortly.

What:
In 2009, composer Eve Beglarian set out on a journey down the Mississippi, starting from its source at Lake Itasca in Minnesota, meeting and interviewing people she found along the way, recording the sounds of the river, writing music as she traveled, performing with and for members of the communities she found.
Third Angle welcomes Eve to Portland for an evening of music, images, and stories from her journey; the Mississippi as muse to this gifted composer.
